Why compete instead of uniting?

Merging from college into an economy that barely exists is hard. We have all been taught to strive for the american dream. You go to college, get a good job, find that perfect woman who may become your wife, achieve a home and start a family. Sadly the American dream has been slipping away from the 80s babies generation. Most of us have taken those proper steps we were taught while young to achieve the life all strive for. But this day and age everything is different, we have come from high school or college realizing that the american dream is but a distant memory, its now the "American struggle". Higher education is no longer the road to a successful life, now Darwinsim is truly in effect. "only the strong survive" or "only those who know the right people in a business may be hired." Life is truly becoming a competition, those who know the right people in the right places succeed over those who don't have such a luxury.

I have been on both sides of the fence, I went to college, followed the steps I was taught were the proper moves to a great future. Now I see myself among the large percentage of young Americans graduating and moving back in with their parents while thinking I was going to achieve a great job and start a successful future. Although I have a job, a menial one I achieved due to my fathers high position, I find myself questioning my days "I have a job but this is not the job I studied for years to achieve."

I'm always optimistic, something will come along, someone will recognize my persistence through grad school and will hire me. Then I think "Wait, what makes me that much better than the other college grads, the other grad students, or anyone really these days that are struggling to get a job?" Someone always tells you to set yourself apart from others, be unique when applying for a job. How many unique things can you say before they simply become repetitive? I didn't bust my ass through school to come out, then spend my days coming up with something to say to a company that hasn't already been said.

Now that I've gotten through my rant, what I really am getting at is I've studied a lot of companies thriving and a lot of companies going out of business. This is due to market giants either buying out smaller competition or simply running them out of the market. This doesn't help those who are striving for jobs, such competition within business is decimating jobs. So instead of waiting for a job offer to come along and competing with thousands and thousands of other young and old Americans, why not take charge and create unity amongst the economy titans we strive to work for? If major business stopped fighting to put each other out of business and combined genius ideas, job positions would stay consistent and possibly expand.

My goal is to create a business that can conquer such a task. Create or sustain jobs, if two major businesses that fight to one up each other actually come together and collaborate I'm confident great things can happen. What I would love is for some comments on my long long rant and my main point which is to create some kind of business that can eventually work to unite businesses whether they be entertainment based, technology based, what have you. Be honest, don't steal my ideas, just talk to me give me feedback give me ideas and help me create some kind of potential for the future. I can't sit back and wait for something to happen, I've decided that action and massive balls are the key to success with our current situation in america.
